ABOUT PROJECT
Unveiling the Lost Civilization of Sundaland

The Sundalandia Discovery Project is a multidisciplinary scientific initiative and public exploration campaign committed to revealing the ancient mysteries of the Sunda Shelf. Once a vast landmass that connected much of Southeast Asia during the last Ice Age, Sundaland may hold the key to understanding the origins of modern civilization.
Inspired by theories of ancient advanced cultures and supported by leading research in geoscience, marine archaeology, and genetics, we aim to demonstrate that Sundaland was a flourishing cradle of early civilization predating Mesopotamia and Egypt.

PROJECT DIRECTOR
Bob S. Effendi
is a prominent energy executive, clean energy advocate, and nuclear policy strategist with over 30 years of experience in the oil & gas, mining, and nuclear sectors.

PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR
Prof. Dr. Danny Hilman Natawidjaja
is a senior geologist at Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and a leading expert in geophysics, tectonics, and paleoseismology.

PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR
Dr. Gegar Prasteya
is a geologist and stratigrapher with BRIN, Indonesia’s national research body. His expertise includes paleoenvironmental reconstruction, sedimentology, and Quaternary geology.
